Short Video/ Reel Making Competition

Introduction

As part of ISHWMCON 2026, the International Conference on Healthcare Waste Management, Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and Environment resilient healthcare system scheduled on 30th and 31st October, a short video/reel making competition is being organised as one of the various scientific academic awareness activities promoting the theme and tagline of the conference.

The competition aims to encourage a discussion and participation through creativity, content creation, digital storytelling and social media engagement to spread awareness on the below mentioned topics or theme

Key themes

•        Safe Waste management or Biomedical Waste management

•        Hand wash and hygiene

•        Mindfulness in Healthcare Activities

•        Technological innovation and AI in healthcare waste management

•        Climate change

•        Environmental Sustainability in Healthcare

•        Environment resilient healthcare system

Competition Category

Reel- Not exceeding 60 seconds, (Preferably aspect ratio 9 : 16)

Short film Competition: Not exceeding 2 mins. ( including title and credits) (Preferable aspect ratio 16: 9)

Less than 500 MB in size. The accepted file formats are MOV or MP4.

Mandatory Requirements

Participants must ensure, the content strictly aligns with the themes;

Restrictions- Entries will be disqualified if they contain

  1. AI-generated content and animations

  2. Copyrighted material without permission (music, film clips, trademarks, celebrity likenesses, film credits, etc.).

  3. Illegal, offensive, or harmful content, including defamation, violence, racism, or sexually explicit material.

  4. Commercial promotions or advertisements or any other watermark ( watermark of applications or editing tools may be allowed if the content is found to be of superior quality and relevant . Judges decision will be binding)

  5. Content harming animals.

  6. Content promoting tobacco, alcohol, or any addictive substance;

Ethical and Legal Compliance

All entries must comply with applicable laws and guidelines

Participants shall be solely responsible for copyright permissions;

Indian Society of Hospital Waste Management reserves the right to use selected entries for public awareness purposes;

Any misleading or plagiarised content shall lead to disqualification

Awards and recognition

Selected videos will be displayed during the event and on social media handles of the organisation. The best videos in both the categories will be awarded with gift hampers and trophy. All competitors will receive a certificate of participation.

Competition end date  15/10/2026 , 11.59  PM IST

Organisers decision will be final and binding.

Eligibility Criteria

Open to all above 18 years of age. For group participation, at least one of the member has to be aged over 18 years old and will be considered as the Group leader or representative. The responsibility of obtaining the No objection Certificate for minors from the guardians will lie with the Group leader.

Originality Requirement: Content must be original and unpublished
